The lens is a second generation of potrette glass alongside the native lenses. The lens has a short telephoto focal length and a comfortable aperture of f\/1.8. It is suitable for many shooting purposes despite its length. Background softening is quite effective. The optical formula has an extra-low dispersion element, one aspherical element, and four highly transparent glass elements that reduce all kinds of aberrations. HD Nano multi layer coating reduces flare and it also improves contrast. In addition, the lens' STM focusing motor is fast and quiet. Its shortest focusing distance is 80cm.
