The Schmidt-Cassegrain design eliminates chromatic aberration, so there are no coloured fringes around the edges of bright objects. The long 2,800 mm focal length brings the Moon, planets and small deep-sky objects close.<\/p>\n<h4>A tripod for long exposures<\/h4>\n<p>The Advanced VX mount has been designed with astrophotography in mind. All-Star Polar Alignment simplifies polar alignment, and permanently programmable Periodic Error Correction (PEC) eliminates recurring tracking errors caused by diurnal drift.
