The Dji Ronin-S is technically identical to the more expensive big brother<\/a>, but with lighter equipment. The focus ring, RSS IR control cable, and Type-C and TypeB control cables have been removed from the package. In addition, the handle\/table tripod has been replaced with a plastic one. So for many, this is an excellent and cheaper option.<\/p>\n

Dji Ronin-S Essentials Kit - more than the sum of its parts<\/h2>\n

The Dji Ronin-S is more than just a miniature version from the larger Ron's gimbals<\/a>. The advantage of a small one-handed gimbal over a larger one is scalability, from vlogger jobs to professional productions, you can build a package just right for your needs. The mass is lower by default so the comfort of use is good, but there's still enough torque to stabilize a 3.6 kg camera set-up. In addition to its small size, the Dji Ronin-S is packed with features. With a range of modules available, from accessory handles to accessory docks, you can customise your gimbal to how you like to use it.With a standard battery grip, the Ronin-S has a battery life of 12 hours per charge.<\/p>\n

The Ronin-S controls include a front trigger, joystick and mode button on the back panel, making it easy to control the gimbal precisely. In addition (with compatible cameras) you can use the REC button on the gimbal to start recording, or even control the focus. With the front trigger you can lock the gimbal, double-press to re-centre, or turn on selfie mode (pan axis rotates 180 degrees) by pressing three times. Press the mode button to switch the Dji Ronin-S gimbal's mode of operation between three different modes, which can be fine-tuned to your needs. If your need is for fast-changing situations, the Sport mode will execute slippery turns, up to 72 km\/h. With these options, the Ronin-S bends into documentary, event and cinematic applications with ease.<\/p>\n

Everything you need to start shooting comes in a gimbal package. A sliding base plate that allows you to attach the camera to the gimbal and balance the tilt axis with ease. Lens support for front-facing glass blocks, and a rail for attaching a variety of cameras.USB Type-C and Type-B cables are included for camera control such as start\/stop recording and focus-pulling (depending on the camera). 24W USB charger allows fast charging of the gimbal. The included carrying case gets all the bits and pieces moving, safely and securely.<\/p>\n

Dji Ronin-S - Panoramic but no drama<\/h2>\n

With Ronin-S, shooting panoramas is easy, thanks to small and precise movements. With time-lapse and motion-lapse, you just need the Dji Ronin app (Android and iOS) to take pictures at preset intervals. It's then easy to compile a racy time-lapse movie from the images.<\/p>\n

You can also pre-program the movements of the gimbal using the Track function. When there is no separate operator on site, this is invaluable.<\/p>\n
