The DJI Ronin RSC 2 Pro Combo is the updated  DJI Ronin RS2 little brother. This pack includes a Follow Focus motor, a Raven Eye transmitter and a few other nice extras. The gimbal is designed for cameras weighing up to 3 kilos. You can check the compatibility of your camera/lens combination on DJI’s website. The RSC 2 motors are more powerful than the 50% found in the Ronin SC model, which is the predecessor to this redesigned gimbal.

The gimbal head folds neatly onto the gimbal handle, allowing you to flip the stabiliser over and use it upside down when you want to shoot from a very low angle without having to detach anything. The gimbal’s handle is integrated and features built-in batteries that provide up to 14 hours of stabilisation. The batteries can be charged via the handle whilst the gimbal is in use (except in extreme temperatures). The handle supports PD and QC 2.0 fast-charging protocols and charges in around two hours when using an 18W fast charger (not included). The foldable design makes the device easy to carry around.

The RSC 2 grip also features a 1″ black-and-white OLED display and a horizontal dial for adjusting the focus with the same hand you use to hold the camera. On both sides of the gimbal there are NATO mounts with M4 threads for attaching accessories. For example, for briefcase-style filming.

The DJi RSC 2 uses the Titan stabilisation algorithm, which is an enhanced version of its predecessor and offers improved stabilisation and smoothness. It also features a built-in function, SuperSmooth, which supports the algorithm even with lenses up to 100mm. SuperSmooth compensates for micro-movements and increases torque with long lenses.

The gimbal features a two-tier Manfrotto plus Arca-Swiss camera mount and two detachable quick-release plates. For social media content, you can switch the orientation to ‘portrait mode’ at the touch of a button. The RSC 2 allows for six different configurations and can also be controlled via an iOS/Android app, giving you access to additional features such as time-lapse, panorama, and Roll 360, which continuously rotates the camera around its horizontal axis. The gimbal also supports the separately available DJi RavenEye transmitter, which allows you to stream video at 1080p resolution and track subjects using ActiveTrack 3.0.

It comes with a mini tripod that attaches to the RSC 2 base via a 1/4″ thread, which serves as a handy support or extension for the handle to allow two-handed use. A camera controller is included, allowing you to control certain cameras directly from the gimbal.
