The Godox Litemons SR20R is an LED light panel with a central opening into which you can place your phone, so that light falls on your face from all four sides at once. It’s ideal for streaming, video calls and videos for social media, for example, when you want even lighting without the need for a separate light source. Light from every direction

The light source runs as a continuous edge around the opening, so the shadows beneath the eyes and chin are filled in and a frame-shaped reflection appears in the eyes. The output is sufficient to reach 1,510 lux at a distance of half a metre at a colour temperature of 5,600 K, and the stepless dimming (0–100 %) allows it to be used even at a distance of ten centimetres from the face.

Controlling your phone’s camera using light

When connected to a mobile phone via Bluetooth, you can use the lamp’s buttons to take a photo, start recording, zoom, lock the focus, switch between the front and rear cameras, and change the shooting mode from a distance of up to ten metres. On an iPhone, the zoom function must be enabled for this to work.

Mounting and power supply

Three sides of the body feature a 1/4-inch thread for horizontal or vertical mounting, and the three sockets on the top edge can be used to attach a microphone, a handle or a small additional light. The phone mount can be detached and attached to the same removable 1/4-inch nut on the camera, but a separate mount is required for an action camera or Pocket gimbal. The battery charges via USB-C in approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, and the light can be used whilst charging; a mains charger is not included.
