ähnel Captur Module Pro - agent level stuff
The Hähnel Captur Module Pro is a great addition to the Captur remote control. The Pro module has a built-in motion, sound and light sensor and an AUX interface to which you can connect various triggering accessories. It also comes with an infrared module that triggers the camera when the beam it detects is interrupted, for example when an animal passes by.
- Record time lapse sequences, action-packed scenes or wildlife
- Four built-in sensors: light, sound, laser and infrared
- AUX interface allows connection of third-party devices, e.g. pressure or humidity sensor
- Fully programmable timer, interval and desired number of images at specific intervals
- Shutter release switch with AF function, single and continuous shooting and bulb exposure
- Connects wirelessly to the camera via Captur remote control (sold separately)
Note! Requires a camera-specific ähnel Captur Remote wireless remote control or the Hähnel Cable Set for Captur.

A splash and a burst of images pretty handy in studio conditions, saves a lot of time. The only drawback has been that the IR add-on only works for a while with new batteries, so you have to change them quite often even if the batteries have power left. I recommend rechargeable batteries (if you use regular ones, don't throw them away, they can still be used in other devices). Other functions yet to be tested.
A good device otherwise, but not the most reliable in sunny weather or snow, because it fires unnecessary shots.
Very unreliable when used outdoors in bright light where the wind is blowing grass or branches.They don't need to be near the IR beam, can be well to the side but will cause the following: the camera, regardless of the settings, will start snapping pictures and won't stop until the card is full or the battery is dead. The camera will start taking pictures without breaking the IR beam.In my use it took 6-7 thousand unnecessary pictures in a week.
Indoors (and outdoors in the shade) it works fine and obeys the settings you put on it.
It should also be noted that mosquitoes and water droplets in the rain will trigger the camera but that is part of the device's features and is acceptable.
