The JJC LH-N52 BLACK lens hood is specially designed for selected Nikon lenses. Its main purpose is to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading its rear end, and it is perfectly tailored to the focal length of the specific lens for which it is designed. The non-reflective matt finish on the inner surface prevents or reduces lens reflections. And there is no vignetting when the cap is in place. Thanks to the extended lens tip, you also get extra protection against accidental knocks.

It does not affect the use of the Ф52mm filter or the cap on the original Nikon lens.
