The Manfrotto 420B combines a studio stand and a boom in a single unit. It is ideal for positioning a light high up or to the side when using a lightweight light modifier, such as a small softbox or a shade.

Base and boom in a single structure

The stand can be used as it is as a studio stand, and the boom can be extended by folding it out at the stand’s joint. The load capacity of the boom depends on how it is used; the maximum load at the end of the boom is 0.9 kg.

Adjustable foot for uneven surfaces

One of the legs can be extended as required, which helps to stabilise the tripod on uneven ground. The empty sandbag supplied with the tripod can be used to stabilise it when the boom is in use.
