The Manfrotto MK055XPRO3-BHQ2 is an aluminium 055-series tripod kit designed for keen amateur photographers who need a sturdy tripod and a versatile ball head in a single package. It is ideal for situations where the camera’s position, height adjustment and the ability to switch quickly between portrait and landscape shooting are important.
Quick adjustment of height and angle of view
The Quick Power Lock mechanism allows the legs to be quickly opened and locked into the desired position. The 90-degree column mechanism, concealed within the top section of the stand, can be released with a single finger, allowing the column to be switched between vertical and horizontal positions without the need for disassembly.
XPRO ball head for precise framing
The Manfrotto XPRO ball head’s three-point locking mechanism keeps the camera firmly in place. The friction control helps balance the weight of the equipment, and two spirit levels make fine-tuning easier, even when the locks are open.
A complete package for accessories

A sturdy tripod, which I use myself for studio photography. It comes with a handy ball head that can be moved easily in all directions. Makes it easy to work with. It is also taller than previous tripods, which was one of my criteria. I like it!
Straight tripod and ball end. The ball head locks very well, no slipping. Pivoting centre pillar allows for really low shooting positions. Quite a heavy combination but it has pros and cons, good to note e.g. if you hike often.
It has a solid feel and what I've used so far is very good. I haven't had time to try it in more demanding terrain but there are plenty of adjustments. Ten points for customer service. I recommend!
