NiSi Cine Filter True Color Polarizer 4×5,65″

A polarising filter arranges the directional light perpendicular to the reflected light, allowing much of this light to be absorbed. This greatly reduces reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces and increases the saturation of the sky and foliage. The linear polarizer differs from the rotating polarizer in that it does not have an additional quarter-wave plane. The addition of a quarter-wave plane is necessary to achieve the rotational polarization of linear polarized light for autofocus and exposure functions. Because the light is scattered and filtered by the linear polarizer, the camera's autofocus and exposure accuracy are distorted during operation. When the light is circularly polarized, these functions can be used.
