The Panasonic Lumix G Lens 12-35mm f/2.8 Leica is a versatile lens with a zoom range that covers wide-angle, normal and short telephoto shooting.It offers smooth and quiet operation, which, combined with the camera's fast and accurate contrast autofocus, allows for excellent accuracy. The lens' video performance is top-notch, with a mechanism that reduces focus breathing, which has been a problem for many interchangeable lenses designed for photography.The lens consists of fourteen lens elements in nine groups, including four aspherical lenses, one UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens. These elements ensure high optical performance and natural colour rendition.

Panasonic's unique Nano Surface Coating reduces reflections across the entire visible light wavelength range, improving image clarity. In addition, a new light-shielding element minimises ghosting and reflections.

The exterior design of the lens has been refined to live up to the LEICA name. Its compact size and light weight make it highly portable, and its splash-resistant construction withstands use in harsh conditions, even in 10 degrees below zero.
