Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CSC - fast and lightweight wide-angle lens

The Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CSC is a fast and lightweight wide-angle lens for MFT sensors. It offers a wide angle of view of 98.9 degrees and distortion correction equivalent to a 24mm lens on a full cell.

With its short focal length and high optical performance, the Samyang 12mm F2.0 NCS CSC is perfect for landscape photography and is particularly useful for interior and architectural photography as well as star photography. The product package includes a removable lens hood and a mount for 67mm filters.

The optical structure of the lens contains 12 elements in ten groups, including one aspherical lens (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP), and three lenses made of Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass with a very low dispersion factor. Technically, the 12mm NCS CS is one of the most advanced lenses in the Samyang range.

The Samyang Nano Coating System has been applied to two different lens elements. This allows for better light transmission, reduced reflections and improved contrast, which together provide a very high resolution, sufficient for the best cameras on the market. The undeniable advantage of wide-angle for star photography in terms of exposure time is worth noting if you are interested in astrography.
