The Samyang 12mm T2.2 CINE NCS CS is a wide-angle lens designed for video shooting with mirrorless APS-C cameras.
The T-number indicates the actual amount of light transmitted, allowing for more accurate imaging. The serrated focus ring fits directly onto the follow focus system and, together with the infinitely variable aperture ring, they are perfect for precise video shooting. The Samyang 12mm T2.2 Cine NCS lens uses manual aperture control. The low T-number allows for natural shooting in all lighting conditions. The Samyang 12mm T2.2 NCS CS is one of the first lenses to use the new nanocrystalline anti-reflection coating.

The lens has 12 lenses in 10 groups, including 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP), 1 aspherical lens (AS) and 3 low-dispersion elements (ED), which ensure high image quality and contrast, both in the centre and at the edges of the image, even when shooting at full aperture. The ED lenses reduce colour aberrations and minimise light loss. The lens has a closest focusing distance of 0.2m, allowing close-up photography of subjects.

The six-element dimming aperture is almost perfectly circular at full aperture and forms beautiful star-shaped rays when dimmed. The lens body is compact and very sturdy, made entirely of high quality aluminium alloy. In addition, a removable lens hood prevents reflections from stray light.
