They provide very wide depth of field control with a manual focus design that supports this nicely. A circular nine-dimmer blade aperture produces smooth bokeh. The lens design consists of a pair of aspherical elements that reduce chromatic aberration and distortion to produce sharp, sharp images. An ultra-multi coating is also included to reduce contrast and to eliminate haze and lens flare. This lens is designed for cropped cameras. The fast f/1.2 maximum aperture helps you shoot in darker conditions.
