SmallRig 3884 Cage for the Canon EOS R3

The SmallRig 3884 camera cage is a protective frame that allows accessories to be attached around the camera without putting strain on the camera body itself. The cage is designed for the Canon EOS R3 body. It features two hot shoe mounts at the top, as well as several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded mounting points around the frame for attaching accessories. The camera’s controls, battery compartment and connectors remain accessible even when the cage is fitted to the camera.

The camera is attached to the frame from below using a 1/4″-20 camera screw. In addition, two side locking adaptors are fitted to hold the camera firmly in place and prevent it from rotating. The underside of the frame features both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 tripod threads, and on the side and base there are integrated Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release plates for rapid attachment to a compatible tripod head. A magnetic flat-head screwdriver attaches to the base of the cage and is used to tighten the camera’s clamping screws.
