The SmallRig 3891 “Black Mamba” camera cage kit adds protection and allows you to attach various accessories to your Canon EOS R5C camera. The kit includes a full-size aluminium camera cage, top handle and HDMI/USB cable support.

Cage

The SmallRig 3890 cage provides accessory mounting points and protection for the Canon EOS R5 C camera. The lightweight aluminium ”Black Mamba” camera frame offers a fine crisp black finish with carbon fibre-style detailing. The cage allows full access to camera functions, battery, SD card slot and flash shutter.

The camera is attached to the frame using 1/4″-20 screws at the bottom and an additional M4 screw to prevent the camera from rotating. The frame offers several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 accessory threads, and features ARRI-style locking pins to prevent accessories such as an optional grip or HDMI cable clamp from rotating when mounted on the frame.

The frame has an integrated Arca-Swiss-type mount at the bottom, so the cage can be attached to standard Arca-compatible tripod heads and brackets. The frame has a shoe mount at the top and a NATO rail on the side. Integrated strap slots allow for the addition of an optional sling or neck strap. A screwdriver for camera screws is included.

Top handle

The versatile SmallRig “Black Mamba” top handle attaches quickly to a camera, cage or rig mount with a 1/4″-20 anti-twist screw. The handle provides a balanced grip point for a variety of camera configurations. The compactly designed handle is made of durable aluminum and features a soft silicone surface for your hand. Accessory attachment options include a shoe mount at the front and an ARRI-style anti-twist accessory mount at the top. The handle can support a camera rig weighing up to 15 kg.

HDMI/USB cable support

The SmallRig “Black Mamba” HDMI & USB-C Cable Clamp protects and locks the usb and hdmi cables to the connector. This prevents the camera connector or the cable itself from twisting and breaking during use. The clamp attaches to the “Black Mamba” cage with M4 thumbscrews. No tools required.
