SmallRig 4858 X Potato Jet Tribex - an innovative carbon fibre stand for demanding applications

SmallRig and content producer Potato Jetin co-designed carbon fibre tripod is ready for demanding shooting applications that combine stability, lightness and adjustability. Designed for professional videography and especially for outdoor use, the tripod features a hydraulic X-Clutch locking mechanism. It allows the height of all three legs of the tripod to be adjusted by simply locking one handle. The unprecedented speed of the mechanism means that the tripod is ready to use in an instant for shooting situations, whether the camera is high or low and no matter how uneven the terrain.

The carbon fibre legs and centre tube make the stand lightweight but extremely durable. It weighs only 2.6 kg, but can support loads of up to 25 kg. The tripod is designed to work with both small mirrorless SLRs and larger film camera rigs.

Versatile height adjustment and compact size

The platform's range of use extends from a minimum height of only 15 cm up to 155 cm. The compact 66 cm transport length makes it easy to pack - it fits in a standard 28" suitcase.

The central tube has an easy-to-use quick-release system for height adjustment. At the bottom of the centre tube is a typical hook for additional weights, but the hook also has an integrated removable Allen key for easy assembly and disassembly of the shooting equipment anywhere.

Stability on all platforms

The feet of the stand are equipped with quick-release rubber feet with built-in spikes for a stable position even on uneven terrain. The stand also has additional 1/4"-20 threads, which allow the attachment of accessories such as magic arm -arms, monitors and other SmallRig parts fixing.

The end of the base has a typical 3/4"-16 thread, which will fit almost all common base heads.
