The SmallRig 4983 L-Shape Mount Plate is specifically designed for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera. The side panel can extend by 22.5 mm for vertical shooting, allowing for cable management, and can be adjusted forwards and backwards by 7.8 mm without blocking the camera's HDMI, microphone or other ports. The design of the side panel allows the screen to be tilted by approximately 100° forwards and backwards.

Neither the baseplate nor the side panel blocks access to the camera's buttons, battery, memory card slot, or angle cables. The mounting plate features numerous mounting options, such as 1/4″-20 threaded connections, a QD socket, cold shoe mounts, and strap slots, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as QD shoulder straps, microphones, and tripods.

The Arca-Swiss quick-release system baseplate enables direct mounting to Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals, offering quick transitions between the gimbal, handheld use and the tripod. In addition, the case features a magnetic double-ended wrench at the bottom to facilitate assembly and disassembly.
