This product features SmallRig’s patented ”HawkLock” quick-release system, which consists of a NATO rail and an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate. The system enables secure and smooth one-click attachment to ”HawkLock”-compatible accessories, such as SmallRig top handles, side handles and quick-release plates.

The ring features a three-point locking system, which secures the ring to the base using a 1/4″-20 screw and two positioning pins on either side, ensuring a tight fit without any flex.

The silicone pads on the base protect the camera from scratches.

In addition, the hinged arm on the battery compartment improves your grip by providing extra support for your little finger.

The HDMI cable clip attaches tool-free using a thumb screw on the left-hand side of the rim, ensuring a secure connection for reliable data transfer.

The ring features several mounting points, including multiple 1/4″-20 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8″-16 positioning holes, which allow SmallRig top handles or side handles to be attached to improve stability during handheld shooting.

The cold shoe mount is designed for attaching microphones or video lights.

The 1/4″-20 threaded hole in the base is suitable for attaching table stands or DJI RS stabilisers using a quick-release plate for the DJI RS Mini.

The integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate makes it easy to switch quickly between handheld, tripod and gimbal shooting modes (compatible with the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 and RS 4 Pro).

In addition, the QD connector is designed for attaching QD straps, and there are strap slots on both sides and on the base for SmallRig wrist straps, shoulder straps and other accessories.

The frame kits also include a magnetic key, which makes assembly and disassembly easier.
