The SmallRig 6537 is an EN-EL15c-compatible dummy battery power cable that allows a Nikon camera to be powered by an external power source via the D-Tap connector. It is ideal for long video shoots, live streams and other shooting situations where minimising battery changes is important.

External power for long filming sessions

The cable is connected via a D-Tap connector to, for example, a V-mount battery, providing the camera with a continuous power supply when used with compatible Nikon bodies. Indicator lights and a voltage display show the status of the power source and warn of low voltage or a D-Tap connection that is connected the wrong way round.
