The SmallRig Cold Shoe Extension 2044 is yet another one of those inventions you didn’t know you needed. In all its simplicity, this shifts the cold shoe slightly to the side of the camera body when mounted on a cage. I know, it’s absolutely brilliant – I still can’t believe I didn’t think of this myself.  It’s designed to be attached to 1/4″-20 threads, after which you can mount cold-shoe accessories such as flashes, lights, microphones and the like onto your rig. The cold shoe mount is secured with two screws to prevent it from rotating.
