Think Tank MindShift FirstLight 30L – Think Tank’s most modern rucksack in a medium size

The Think Tank MindShift FirstLight 30L is just what you need when you’re planning to carry a 15-inch laptop and photography kit to hard-to-reach places. Designed for photographers who love the outdoors, this rucksack is surprisingly spacious inside. The main compartment features adjustable dividers and can comfortably hold 4–6 standard lenses, an old-school SLR with its handgrip and a flash, or a couple of mirrorless cameras and plenty of lenses, and even a flash or two. Mobile devices and other small bits and bobs fit easily into the handy small pocket on top of the bag or into one of the two front pockets. There’s a dedicated front pocket for a laptop. Batteries, filters and other delicate equipment are best placed in the mesh pockets inside the bag. There’s a dedicated pocket for a water bottle, featuring holes in the base and a drawstring. A tripod can be attached to the back or side.

The Firstlight 20 L is made from a variety of highly durable nylons and coated with water-repellent polyurethane. The base panel is reinforced to withstand harsh weather conditions. Designed for people of different sizes, the contoured harness is adjustable at 11 different points. Three handles make it easy to transfer the rucksack to different modes of transport. The shoulder straps and hip belt distribute the weight comfortably, and the moulded aluminium back panel is very supportive, allowing you to stay on the trail for longer.

The main body does indeed fit the aforementioned SLR and 4–6 lenses nicely; it’s also worth noting that the maximum size of the lens is approximately 500mm f/4 when detached, or 400mm f/2.8 when attached.
