The PD Outdoor Backpack 25L features a host of innovative features that simply work, so you can spend more time enjoying the great outdoors and less time struggling with your kit, starting with its exceptionally comfortable harness, large, well-placed access points and fully customisable internal and external organisation. Designed to work with Peak Design’s extensive range of packing tools, which allow you to customise protection and organisation for any combination of clothing, accessories, outdoor gear, sports equipment and camera gear – from a single camera or lens right through to a complete professional creative setup.

The harness-style straps take the strain off your arms and shoulders and distribute it across a larger area of your body, whilst providing ideal, quick access to storage compartments and Capture Camera Clip attachment points. Add an optional padded, quick-attach and hyper-adjustable hip belt for extra support, storage and Capture attachment options. This rucksack is highly durable and weather-resistant thanks to its Terra Shell 210D ripstop nylon fabric, which is 100 per cent recycled, Bluesign-approved and PFAS-free. The optional Rain Fly provides full waterproof protection.

Other unique features include a dedicated Ultra Cinch roller-lock mechanism for easy packing and unpacking, which enables lightning-fast one-handed operation and a 5-litre expansion capacity.

The huge rear access panel makes packing a breeze and also provides the ideal shape for carrying external cameras using Peak Design Camera Cubes, which attach securely inside the bag. Three substantial external Flex pockets provide quick-access storage for large items (water bottles, walking poles, jackets, tripods), yet they always maintain a sleek profile and never look bulky or untidy. Cord Hook external carrying straps and flexible Gear Loops offer endless options for attaching gear to the outside of the rucksack, whilst Cord Rails provide 360-degree attachment points. You can even attach Peak Design Ultralight Packing Cubes for modular external storage. Fair Trade certified and 100% carbon neutral.

Harness and comfort

• Two quickly adjustable chest straps for a more active and ergonomic fit (use both, one or none).

• A quick-fit, highly adjustable padded hip belt (with storage space and Capture Clip attachment point) is available, sold separately.
• Padded back panels with central air circulation channel.
• Breathable, quick-drying perforated foam padding on back panels and shoulder straps.

Internal carrier

• The sleeve (with slot attachment loop) can be converted into a laptop sleeve for up to 16" Macbook Pro.

External carrying case

Protection and treatment

• The primary outer fabric is ultra-lightweight Terra Shell 210D ripstop 100% recycled nylon.
• The secondary outer fabric (front and bottom) is Terra Shell 210D ripstop with TPU coating (not recycled).
• PFAS-free water-repellent treatment with internal PU coating.
• The bag is functionally weatherproof and comes with an optional Rain Fly (sold separately) for complete waterproofing.
• Spot wash with warm water and mild detergent, hand wash only.
• Fair Trade certified and 100 % carbon neutral.

Differences compared to the 45 litre model

• Less capacity and top extension (3L extension vs. 11L).
• Less photographic capacity (maximum load is Smedium Camera Cube vs. Large).
• Lighter weight (no internal frame, hip belt not included).
• No shoulder harness adjustment (45L has adjustable shoulder harness length).
• 3 external elastic pockets (5 in 45L).
• No internal zip pocket
