The SmallRig 4980 Cage is a camera cage designed for the Nikon Z50 II, which protects the body and provides mounting points for video accessories. It is ideal for users who wish to attach accessories such as handles, a monitor, a microphone, a light or a cable clip to the camera without hindering camera operation.

Protects the camera and ensures it remains in working order

The cage attaches to the camera using a 1/4”-20 screw on the base and positioning blocks on the sides. Built-in silicone padding helps prevent the camera from getting scratched, and the design leaves the camera’s buttons and ports accessible.

Several attachment points for accessories

The frame features 1/4”-20 threaded holes and mounting holes for items such as side handles, magic arm mounts, HDMI cable clamps and monitor mounts. The ARRI 3/8”-16 mounting holes on the top panel support SmallRig top handles and monitor mounts, whilst cold shoe mounts can be used to attach items such as a microphone or an LED light.

Arca-Swiss base for a tripod and stabiliser

The Arca-Swiss quick-release plate integrated into the base allows for direct attachment to Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals. This makes it easier to switch between using the gimbal, handheld shooting and tripod use.
