Filters
Filters are optical accessories that help you control light and create new possibilities for your images.
For example, you can use them to reduce reflections, soften movement or protect the front element of the lens.
In our range you will find all the most common filters - grey sea otters (ND), rotary polarisation filters (CPL) and protective filters - and spiral transformer rings, which allow you to use different sizes of filters on your different lenses.
Our main filter brands are NiSi, Hoya and PolarPro, which offer excellent optical quality and durability for both photography and video production.

Filters for photography and video production
Filters are one of the most important accessories for photographers. They allow you to control the light entering your camera's sensor, reduce reflections or protect your lens. Typically mounted in front of the lens, filters offer a quick and high-quality way to adjust the exposure and colours of your image without post-processing.Choose the right filter size
Each lens has its own filter thread, which determines the size of the filters that will fit. The size is given in millimetres (e.g. Ø67 mm) and can be found on the edge of the lens or in the technical data. Filter sizes generally range from 37 to 105 mm. If necessary, you can use spiral transformer rings with filters of different sizes, but remember that reduction rings can cause the edges of the image to be skewed. Most common types of filters
Grey filter (ND)
Grey filters (ND filters) reduce the amount of light entering the cell. They allow you to use a longer exposure time in bright light or a wider aperture without overexposure. For example, this makes flowing water look soft and blurs movement beautifully. Grey filters are available in different intensities (ND2-ND32000) and adjustable variable ND -models, where the amount of light can be adjusted continuously.Polarisation filter (CPL)
Rotary polarising filter (CPL) increases image contrast and reduces reflections. Landscape photographers will particularly benefit: skies will appear deeper, colours will be richer and light reflected from water or glass surfaces will be reduced. A polarising filter usually reduces the light by about 1 to 2 gaps and its effect can be adjusted by rotating the filter.Protective filter
Protective filter is a simple and inexpensive way to protect the front element of the lens from dust, scratches and dents. If you don't use other filters, it's always a good idea to keep the protective filter in the lens - it acts as a cheap “safety glass” in front of your precious optics.Filters for different uses
Filter elements are used not only in lenses but also in, for example. on drones and video cameras. With the right filter, you can effectively control light in any shooting situation - be it landscape, portraiture, video production or long exposure experiments. Fotomonza has filters for all your needs: grayscale filters, polarising filters, clear filters and filters for protection. We keep the most common sizes and models in stock, and deliver them quickly directly to your home or studio.
