Godox Parabolic 88 Reflector Kit - yep, Para 88
You read that right, the Godox Parabolic 88 Reflector Kit, is as the name implies pretty much in debt Broncolorin Para 88 for the product. If any light modifier has been a self-respecting photographer's wet dream, it has been this one. Legends have been made of this. I can't put into words how amazing the light this can produce so I suggest you stop reading for a moment and watch the second Sails Chong clip in that video. It tells you everything you need to know about this. Except the price, and I understand that it doesn't seem sensible to put that much jam into a light converter, but the truth is that this is a bargain. After all, if you clicked on that link to the Broncolor website and saw the price of the original product there, you'd understand that this is a must-buy. I for one have been dreaming of a Para 88 conditioner all my adult life but have had to be realistic. Thanks to Godox the situation has now changed.
This type of editor is designed for fashion and portrait photographers, the Parabolic 88 makes clean and appropriately reflective highlights, yet at the same time makes a wide beam around the subject. When I say around, I mean that the light actually surrounds the subject in a different way than with a normal softbox. The inside of the box is a highly reflective silver-coloured premium material and you can tell by the name of the product that it has an outer diameter.
Thanks to their unique zooming feature, these modifiers produce unrealistic audible reflections on the skin, being both hard and soft at the same time. As I said before, the effect is hard to describe in words. The zoom rod has number markings on it, making it easy to see how much the tube has been moved. There is a flange at the end of the tube to prevent the tube from being pulled out accidentally. The other end, which is inside the box, has the Bowens bracket that comes with it, but it's easy to replace with a separately purchased bracket of your choice.
The whole thing travels nicely in a good quality bag.
The box can be fitted with optional diffusers and honeycombs.
