The T value markings on the Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fish-eye lens allow you to work more accurately on video tasks. The body has serrated focus and aperture rings for a followfocus system. In addition, the aperture ring is ”de-clicked” for unobstructed sliding. Both sides are marked with a distance and T value table.

Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fish-eye is a manual lens with a relatively low T value. You get a controlled lens for accurate dark to bright. The lens has 12 lenses in eight groups including two glass aspherical lenses (ASP) and three extra low dispersion (ED) lenses to give you a bright, sharp image. The Nano Coating System (NCS) takes care of haze and reflections. Its optical formula allows shooting from 20 centimetres away at the closest point. Stereoscopic projection is designed to produce a smooth and even fisheye effect.

The seven dimmer blades form an almost circular aperture when the dimmer is dimmed, giving beautiful star-like rays. The lens body is compact and solid because it is made of a strong aluminium alloy. In addition, a removable petal-style lens hood reduces reflections and flare when shooting backlit.

The lens is available for 10 different bayonets: Canon, Canon M, Nikon, Pentax, Sony ∝, Sony E, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds, MFT.

Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fish-eye is one of nine Samyang Cine glasses designed for cinema size sensors. The lenses produce the same coloration in images and have uniform aperture and focus wheel placement.
