Light modifiers

Light modifiers can be used to create different lighting effects and styles. There are several different types of light modifiers.

• Speedringit are adapters for attaching specific types of equipment to different brands of flashes and shooting lights.
• Beauty dishes direct light in a certain way. They are intermediate models between a direct flash and a softbox. Beauty diffusers are mainly used in portrait photography because they focus the light on the subject in the best way.
• Reflectors can be used to soften, increase, reduce, harden and warm light. Reflectors are not only multi-pole devices, they are also compact and simple.
• Honeycombs and fabrics modify the light in the softbox. Honeycombs can be used to concentrate light and are suitable for images where you don't want to bring out anything extra. Canvases can be used to easily direct light without losing the effect of the softbox.
• Hand-held salamanders modify the light coming from the hand-held salamander. Such modifiers can be used, for example, to soften or change the colour of the light from the hand-held salamander.
• Softboxes simply soften the bright light from a flash or other light source. Without a softbox, the light may come in too bright or harsh on the subject. It allows the light that reaches the subject to be soft and even. Softboxes are rectangular, round and strips.
• Snoots and reflectors allows you to adjust the direction of the light. With Snoote you can direct soft, round light exactly where you need it. The reflector allows you to adjust the angle of the light rays and also increases the light output of your flash.
• In the shadows you can soften and send the light from the flash over a larger area than with a softbox. They are easy to use and inexpensive.
