Sharp stars right up to the edges of the sensor

EdgeHD optics correct for coma and field curvature, ensuring that the field of view is uniform and stars remain pinpoint even at the edges of the sensor. The camera can be mounted behind the tube and used at an f/10 aperture. With an 8-inch focal reducer (sold separately), you can shoot at an f/7 aperture. Fastar/Hyperstar compatibility and a detachable secondary mirror also enable extremely light-sensitive photography. The tube’s air vents, fitted with 60-micron mesh filters, allow warm air to escape from behind the primary mirror.

A tripod for long exposures

The Advanced VX mount features All-Star polar alignment, an autoguider port and permanently programmable periodic error correction (PEC). The mount allows imaging across the meridian without a meridian flip, as the motor housings do not get in the way. Larger cast aluminium frames and more powerful motors ensure smooth tracking even with heavier loads and slight imbalances. The optical tube and mount can be transported and assembled by a single person.
