Selling products to Foto Monza

Where to put used cameras? We are a camera shop based in Kouvola and we buy products at a good market price. You can leave the trade-in value on your customer account, exchange it for products and services, or receive payment via bank transfer. You will usually receive a preliminary estimate in your email on the same day. However, all items are assessed on-site before the official valuation. You can bring the equipment in yourself, or use delivery services such as Posti or Matkahuolto.

On average, we handle about 10 products used per day (over 3000 per year), and we always test the equipment for both external condition and functionality.

We can also evaluate and buy estates, corporate stocks and other larger items.

Used cameras and other replacement equipment will be assessed 24h after the package arrives at our premises. If you send the items by post, please note that we will not necessarily be able to collect the parcel immediately, if you want a quicker assessment, please send the items directly to our premises.

Trade-in – a discount on the price of a new or second-hand camera

You can also trade in your old camera for a new one. When you trade it in, the value of your old device is deducted directly from the price of the product you’re buying as a trade-in credit, and you only need to pay the difference. When trading, you’ll usually get a price that’s about 15 % better than if you were just selling it. The price is always assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the model and condition of the device.

• At our shop in Kouvola: Bring that old device with you, and we’ll assess it and deduct the credit directly from your purchase.
• Remotely from across Finland: Send your old device to us by post. Once we have checked it, we will deduct the credit from the price of your order and you will only pay the difference. All standard payment methods are accepted.
• New or second-hand: The trade-in credit can be used towards both new and second-hand cameras and lenses.

What does ‘exchange credit’ mean?

Will I get a better price by trading it in than by selling it?

Yes, you can. The price for a trade-in is usually around 15 % better than for a straight sale. The exact price is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Can I exchange the camera for a new one if I don’t live in Kouvola?

Oh dear. Please post your old device to us, and we’ll deduct the trade-in credit from the price of your order. The postage cost for the trade-in is €15.

Who pays the postage, and how quickly will I receive the money?

When you sell a device to us, we pay the postage, and the money is usually credited to your account within one working day of the parcel arriving. For trade-ins, the postage is €15.
