DJI FPV Combo – The world of FPV has been revolutionised

The DJI FPV Combo takes the pilot right up into the sky, and there’s no shortage of speed either. The included FPV Goggles V2 give you a first-person view of what the drone sees, making it feel as though you’re actually on board the drone yourself. The drone’s camera is a gimbal-mounted device capable of capturing 4K 60fps video, which transmits low-latency footage to the goggles for a near-real-time experience. The 150° super-wide field of view (FOV) looks truly spectacular.

There are three different flight modes to suit your own abilities, whichever feels most comfortable for you. In manual mode, with all restrictions removed, you can reach speeds of around 120 kilometres per hour. Even at this dizzying speed, DJI’s Rocksteady EIS (electronic image stabilisation) technology keeps your footage smooth. You can record video onto a microSD card (up to 256GB) at 120 Mb/s. Whether you’re into speed or simply admiring the scenery, an FPV drone offers an immersive experience unlike that of a standard drone flight.

The Combo Pack includes everything you need to get flying. Just power up the equipment (drone, goggles and controller) and you’re ready to fly.

Fly safely. When flying in first-person view at high speeds, it is essential that the drone and everything around it remains safe. FPV drones have a feature called Emergency Brake and Hover, which does exactly that at the touch of a button. Emergency brakes engaged and hover mode activated. It’s ideal when you feel things are getting out of hand and you literally want to hit ”pause”. Regardless of the flight mode or speed. What’s more, the quadcopter flies ”home” if the video signal is lost, whilst also attempting to avoid obstacles in front of and below it. An additional light also comes on at the bottom.

Adjustable lights. The front LEDs and the lights on the drone’s ”arms” can be customised, allowing you to spot your drone against the night sky amongst a crowd of other drones. Of course, it’s always nice to have lights on a drone anyway.

Three flight modes

• N Mode: Designed for new pilots, with simplified controls and all safety features, such as obstacle avoidance.
• S Mode: A hybrid flight mode that allows manual flight but slightly restricts your freedom and simplifies the controls a little.
• M Mode: For skilled pilots – there are no limits on the controls, and the limits of flight are determined by your own skill. If your mates call you by the nickname ”Maverick”, this is for you.

OcuSync 3.0 technology is designed to transmit high-quality HD video from the drone to the ground in near real time, from a distance of up to 10 kilometres.

The video transmission automatically switches between the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies, maintaining a 50Mb/s signal without dropouts or interference. This is aided by amplified antennas on the drone itself, as well as three transmitters and four receivers.

The DJI Virtual Flight App lets you practise flying virtually without even putting on your goggles. Simply connect the FPV Goggles V2 and the remote controller.

With the DJI Fly app, you can view and edit your footage and enhance your flying experience.
