DJI's latest product already improves on one of the best and most popular gimbals on the market, DJI Ronin S. The new RS 2 now has an increased load capacity of 4.5kg (0.9kg better than the Ronin-S) and the redesigned carbon fibre construction has been lightened by 0.5kg. In a nutshell, the gimbal carries more and weighs less. As with every revision, usability has also been improved. A touchscreen made directly into the body allows operation without a phone, and balancing the gimbal has been made easier with the axle lock familiar from Zhiyu gimbals. So you can balance each shaft individually. This makes balancing much faster and easier.

The renewed algorithms in the Ron RS 2 stabilise the gimbal more smoothly than before. DJI calls this a wonderful SuperSmooth under the name. According to DJI, all lenses 100mm and shorter are perfectly stabilized.

The updated target tracking is now even more reliable and you can add the optional 3D focus to your gimbal to take this to a whole new dimension.

One of the most exciting new features of the Pro Combo is the RavenEye a transmitter that enables 1080p image transmission with a delay of only 60 milliseconds. At its best, of course, this works from the monitor in everyone's pocket, their smartphone. You can adjust the gimbal, and even get peaking and zebras visible from your phone. In addition, you can use the gimbal in ”turret mode” where the stabilizer tracks the phone's movements as it receives the gyrodata.
