Kodak Charmera It’s one of the most talked-about cameras of recent years – one of the world’s smallest digital cameras, small enough to fit on a key ring. It brings back the feel of early 2000s digital compacts: slightly grainy, warm images, a date stamp and fun, carefree photography without the pressure to get the perfect shot on your phone.
Mystery box – which model will you get?
Charmera is sold in a mystery pack, so you won’t know which design you’ve got until you’ve opened the pack. The range features seven colourways inspired by Kodak’s history, including classic yellow, red and blue, as well as a rare Mystery Edition with a transparent casing. It is precisely this element of surprise that makes the Charmera a popular collector’s item and gift – many people buy several and swap duplicates with their friends.
A retro feel straight from the camera
Seven built-in filters (including black and white, warm, cool and pixel effects), four vintage frames and a date stamp make your photos look polished without the need for post-processing. The 1.6-megapixel sensor and 35 mm angle of view produce that authentic ‘old digital camera’ look that’s hard to achieve with a mobile phone.
Take photos and record videos
The Charmera captures photos at a resolution of 1440 × 1080 and records video at 30 frames per second. You can frame your shot using the small optical viewfinder or view it on the LCD screen on the back. The camera is charged and photos are transferred via the USB-C port.
Don’t forget your memory card
Charmera saves onto a microSD card (up to 128 Gt), which is not included in the pack. A small 32–64 Gt card is enough for thousands of photos. See microSD memory cards.

Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the colour of the Charmera?
You can’t – the Charmera is sold in a mystery box, and the design is always a surprise. That’s part of the Charmera’s charm.
Does the Charmera need a memory card?
It does. The camera records to a microSD card (up to 128 GB), which must be purchased separately.
How do you transfer photos to a mobile phone or computer?
Connect the camera to your computer using a USB-C cable, or read the microSD card using a card reader. You can transfer the photos to your mobile phone using, for example, a USB-C card reader.
A fun device. However, I wish it wasn't a ”blind box” product.
