The Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/2 Zero-D is an ultra-wide angle lens designed to produce razor-sharp images without distortion. The lens has excellent image quality even at full aperture, but with a slight stop-down it improves even more. The product is perfect for astrophotography and landscape photography. The optical construction includes three extra-low dispersion, and two aspherical elements. Which, in Finnish, help to achieve good image quality with good contrast and keep chromatic aberrations to a minimum. The front lens is also coated to repel dust and moisture. The lens also allows the use of filters, which is rare for such wide-angle and high-speed glass. The aperture is dimmed by a mechanical dimming ring on the lens, which can also be used to remove clicks for video use.
