With the help of this 0.9 density filter, the entire image is darkened, allowing photography with a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed than normal. A slower exposure time or larger aperture enables you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

ND filters are useful when the contrast between highlights and shadows is too great to achieve a quality exposure.

The ND8 3 Stop filter is commonly used for waterfalls and water flow photography at shutter speeds from 0.5 seconds to 2 seconds.

NiSi ND filters do not affect the colour tone of the image, offer true-to-life colour, and are made from high-quality optical glass (not resin) with a nano-coating so that not a single detail is lost.

When using a neutral density filter, the camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which casts an unwanted red tint onto images when shooting with a small aperture. NiSi ND filters feature an infrared protective coating that eliminates infrared light passing through the lens and restores natural, true-to-life colour.
