NiSi Matte Box C5 Filmmaker Kit

This Matte Box is designed for 95 mm (outer diameter) film lenses, but can also be adapted to 67, 72, 77 or 82 mm threaded lenses using the supplied adapter rings.

The series includes the following parts:

• a filter frame designed for 4×5,65″ and 4×4″ miniature filters or 100×100 mm square filters, made of aluminium alloy. The frame is non-loosening and can be quickly installed without leaving fingerprints.
• NiSi True Color Variable ND 1-5 step filter made for C5 Matte Box, and NiSi FS ND16 (4 steps) 4x5.65" filter. These filters provide a 1-9 step variable ND effect with minimal colour shift and no X-effects.
• NiSi Black Mist 1/8 4×5.65″ filter, which softens or diffuses images to create a special ”atmosphere”. It softens excessive sharpness and contrast and gives a nice result when there are highlights in the image.

You can use two filters (one in each compartment) at the same time.

Thanks to the form-fitting filter system, ultra-wide-angle imaging at a focal length of 15 mm is possible without any vignetting.

The NiSi Matte Box has an internal depth of 26.5 mm, which effectively prevents glare. It also has air holes on the sides to reduce wind resistance.

The top has a carbon fibre design and can open 180°.

Weighing only 350g, it can be used when shooting with a gimbal.
