The OM System M.zuiko Digital 12-45mm f/4 Pro covers the familiar focal length range of 24-90mm with cinema size equivalents. Its continuous f/4 maximum aperture is a strike at the balance between small size and moderate aperture.

Inside the body are inlaid all kinds of glass to correct all kinds of errors in image quality. Colour distortion, barrel blurring and so on. The images are accurate, and colour faithful. ZERO coating finishes off flare and ghosting marks. Contrast is thus good even in backlit situations.

The optics are mated to a video and still compatible autofocus system that is fast and fluid, not to mention quiet. Maximum magnification of 0.25x throughout the zoom range makes it easy to work with close objects. In addition, the glass is weatherproofed for harsh conditions.

Permanent address and the length of the potrett which in MFT cameras is equivalent to the 24-90mm millimetre of cinema cameras.

Fixed f/4 maximum aperture makes performance uniform throughout the zoom range, while keeping the lens compact.

Optical structure consists of two aspherical elements, one DSA (dual super aspherical) element, two extra-low dispersion elements, one super HR (high-refractive index) element, and two HR elements that minimize aberrations, distortions and colour leaks.
