The PD Outdoor Backpack 45L packs a host of innovative features that just work, so you can spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time wrestling with your gear, from its superbly comfortable harness to its large, beautiful access points and fully customizable internal and external organization. Designed to work in conjunction with Peak Design's extensive range of Packing Tools* to help you adjust the protection and organisation of any combination of clothing, accessories, camping gear, sports equipment and camera gear - from a single camera/lens to a complete professional creative setup.

The uniquely versatile, low-profile harness and adjustment system provide maximum comfort for the widest range of body types on the market for all bags. Sliding style straps lighten the load on the arms and shoulders and distribute it over a larger portion of the torso while providing ideal quick access to storage space and Capture Camera Clip* attachment points. A removable, retractable and hyper-adjustable padded hip belt provides additional support, storage space and Capture Clip* attachment points.

This bag is highly abrasion and weather resistant thanks to the Terra Shell 210D ripstop nylon fabric, which is 100% recycled, Bluesign approved and PFAS-free. The optional Rain Fly* provides full waterproof protection. Other unique features include a dedicated Ultra Cinch roll cap for easy packing and unpacking for lightning-fast, one-handed use and a 10.5 litre expansion.

The huge rear access panel makes packing easy, and it also provides an ideal format for carrying outdoor cameras with Peak Design Camera Cubes* that attach securely inside the bag. The 5 massive external Flex Pockets™™ provide quick-access storage for large items (water bottles, hiking poles, jackets, tripods), yet always maintain a neat profile and never look flat or untidy. Cord Hook™ external carry straps and flexible Gear Loops provide endless options for attaching items to the outside of the pack, while Cord Rails™ provide 360-degree attachment points. You can even attach Peak Design Ultralight Packing Cubes* for modular external storage. Fair Trade certified and 100 % carbon neutral.

Protection and treatment

• The main outer fabric is ultra-lightweight Terra Shell 210D ripstop 100% recycled nylon.
• The secondary outer fabric (front and bottom) is Terra Shell 210D ripstop with TPU coating (not recycled).
• PFAS-free water-repellent treatment with internal PU coating.
• The bag is functionally weatherproof and comes with an optional Rain Fly (sold separately) for complete waterproofing.
• Spot wash with warm water and mild detergent, hand wash only.
