The Rode SM4-R is a redesigned version of the SM4 Flexible Ribbon. Improved and more elastic Rycote Lyre attachment. The SM4-R is designed for shotgun and boom mics, while the SM3-R goes on the camera. The Rode SM4-R flex hanger fits almost all shotgun and boom mics. The diameter of the microphone can vary from about 19 to 22mm. In addition to the video camera equipment shoe mount, there are threads (3/8") for both the microphone boom and the camera stand. With the thread adapter, the thread size can be reduced to 1/4". Compatibility: M5, NT5, NT55, NTG1, NTG2, NTG3, NTG4, NTG4+
