A revised lens with a classic focal length for Sony E cameras, Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art designed specifically for direct mirrorless is even surprisingly compact compared to the old one Sigma 85mm DG Art a series or Sony's own 85mm G-master. Optically, Sigma has always made extremely accurate and contrasty lenses and this new one doesn't disappoint. Despite its composition, the image quality rivals and is even better than the much more expensive GM glass, and that was already great to begin with. The bright and fast f/1.4 aperture produces a pleasing area of blur or bokeh, and the optical design with its special elements takes care of beautiful colour and contrast without reflections or ghosting.

As the lens is designed for mirrorless hybrid cameras, a lot of attention has also been paid to the body design. Integrated into the glass is a programmable AFL button, the aperture can be set to click or fully soft and the aperture can also be fully adjustable from the body. All of these enhance the user experience in both still and video photography.
