The patented HawkLock quick-release system comprises cold shoe mounts, NATO rails and an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate, enabling smooth sliding and self-locking when used with accessories from the HawkLock ecosystem.

The three-point mounting system secures the ring firmly to the camera using the positioning pin on the underside, a 1/4″-20 screw and an M2.5 screw on the left-hand side, preventing any movement, whilst the surrounding padding protects the camera from scratches.

The battery compartment has a hinged door that fits the contours of the camera body more closely, solving the problem of where to place your little finger and improving your grip.

The HDMI cable clamp is fitted to the left-hand side of the bezel using a thumb screw, allowing for convenient installation and removal of cables with a simple turn, whilst ensuring the camera’s HDMI port is protected and that the signal is transmitted reliably.

The ring features several 1/4″-20 threaded holes and ARRI positioning holes for accessories such as the SmallRig handle 2165 and side handle 4755, which helps with arm photography.

It also features a built-in cold shoe mount for attaching microphones, lights and other accessories.

The base of the ring features a 1/4″-20 threaded hole for attaching a mini tripod, and it is compatible with the DJI RS Mini quick-release plate, making it easier to stabilise the camera.

The integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate is compatible with Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals, enabling seamless transitions between handheld, gimbal and tripod shooting scenarios.

The case has strap holes on the sides and at the base for accessories such as the SmallRig wrist strap 3848 and shoulder strap 2428, while the integrated QD holes are compatible with QD sleeve straps.

For added convenience, the pack includes a magnetic Allen key integrated into the base, which allows quick access and makes assembly and disassembly easy.
