SmallRig Camera Half Cage for Sony Alpha 7R V/Alpha 7 IV/Alpha 7S III/Alpha 1/Alpha 7R IV 3639 is a shaped half cage designed to provide protection and accessory attachments. The cage attaches to the camera via a 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom and a locking rail on the right side to prevent twisting and increase security. Several 1/4"-20 and ARRI 3/8"-16 threaded attachments are included, for example to attach a side handle 2093, top handle 3765, Magic Armin 2115, monitor bracket 2904, Manfrotto quick release plate 1280 and many others.
The base has 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads for mounting a camera plate such as the Manfrotto Plate 1280 and APU2458. A flat screwdriver with an Allen wrench is included to secure the camera screw and store in the bottom of the cage.

Note!
- The HDMI Cable Clamp 3000 is NOT compatible with Alpha 1/Alpha 7R IV cameras and prevents access to the sync terminal on the Alpha 7R V camera.
- When using the side lock, remove the pulley

A good, stiff, two-point semi-cage. I got this as a replacement for the L-bracket. By attaching a quick-release plate to the bolt hole on the side of the cage, the camera can be attached to the tripod in a vertical position conveniently and securely, without getting in the way of the pivoting screen or the main ports.
