The Sony XLR-H2 Handle Unit is a Sony FX5 An accessory grip designed for a video camera, featuring two XLR sockets. The handle converts the audio to digital format via its own AD converter and transfers the data directly to the camera’s video file via Sony’s Multi Interface hot shoe. This means no additional cables are required between the handle and the camera, thereby also avoiding common sources of noise. The XLR connectors provide 48V phantom power. In addition, the handle features a single 3.5mm microphone socket.
