Laowa 85mm f/5.6 2x Ultra Macro APO is a macro lens designed for mirrorless cameras with a 28.55° angle of view for cinema cameras. It is the smallest 2X macro lens on the market. It weighs only about 291g which, from a macro photographer's point of view, is a staggering achievement. It has APO features which means that chromatic aberrations are minimised in every sharpness/sharpness range. The new lens is capable of focusing from 2X magnification to infinity so the glass can also be used as a potret glass if you are dexterous with your hands. Its macro design allows for higher magnification than is usually the case. 2:1 combined with a closest focusing distance of 17 centimetres makes for a pretty sci-fi look, at least with insects. The optics consist of three extra-low dispersion elements that strongly reduce colour leakage and chromatic aberrations to achieve high levels of brightness and colour accuracy. In addition, the focusing system is internal so the lens remains the same size throughout. A seven-blade dimmer makes the bokeh smooth when the depth of field is low.
