Fasteners and L-bars

Quick-release plates and L-brackets make it easier to attach the camera to a tripod quickly and improve the flow of your photography. They are particularly suitable for tripod photography, switching between portrait and landscape orientation, and situations where you want to mount the camera securely and quickly.

Fasteners and L-bars

Quick-release plates and L-brackets make it easier to attach the camera to a tripod quickly and improve the flow of your photography. They are particularly suitable for tripod photography and for switching between portrait and landscape shots.

The L-bracket allows the camera to be mounted on a tripod in both horizontal and vertical positions without having to swivel the tripod head sideways – this speeds up portrait photography in particular.

Quick-fit plate or L-bracket?

A standard quick-release plate is sufficient for most situations, but if you take a lot of portrait shots from a tripod, an L-bracket saves time and keeps the camera’s centre of gravity more stable.
