Polarising filters (CPL)
A circular polarising filter, or CPL, is a powerful tool for landscape and outdoor photographers - it deepens the blue of the sky, reduces reflections from water and windows, and increases the intensity of colours. A CPL filter attenuates the amount of incoming light by about 1-2 stops, but instantly gives a more impressive image. The filters adjust their power on a rotating ring, allowing the effect to be fine-tuned directly on the spot.
Our range includes high quality circular polarizing filters in different diameters from well-known brands such as NiSi, Polarpro, Hoya. Need help choosing the right filter? Feel free to contact us via chat or email: [email protected]

How does a circular polarisation filter (CPL) work in practice?
The CPL filter filters out polarised light and allows the desired direction of light to pass through. In this way, it eliminates distracting reflections and darkens the sky, creating a clearer, deeper and more colourful image. When to use a CPL filter?
- Landscape and outdoor photography: deeper skies, brighter clouds, richer colours in nature
- Water and glass reflection removal: reveal the details beneath the surface
- Overall improvement in contrast and saturation: objects and surfaces stand out more clearly
- Avoid using: Low light (CPL reduces light by up to 2 stops), panorama (uneven effect distribution), ultra wide angle lenses (>24 mm)

> "I'd say it's pretty necessary, I use one on way more shots than without. Especially if there's water, leaves or wet surfaces... It'd have to be the most used filter in landscape photography, and it's the only one that you can't do in post processing." > - Reddit user from the landscape photography community Washable, intuitive and effective - CPL is a practical tool for many photographers.Order easily from Foto Monza
