Celestron’s microscope camera converts a traditional microscope into a digital one, allowing samples to be viewed on a computer screen and saved as images or videos. The camera is fitted in place of the eyepiece using the adapter ring supplied, and is powered via the computer’s USB port. See also our other microscopes and microscopy accessories.

Description, measurements and markings

With the Celestron S-Viewer software for Windows computers, you can save images and videos of your discoveries. Using the programme’s measurement and annotation tools, you can measure specimens and add annotations to them. On Mac computers, the camera functions as an external camera via the Photo Booth or Quick Camera app.

• A 2-megapixel sensor turns an ordinary microscope into a digital microscope.
• To fit it, simply remove the eyepiece and secure the camera in its place using the adapter ring.
• In stereo microscopes, the camera replaces one of the eyepieces.
• When viewed on the screen, the magnification is 100x, and this can be increased by changing the microscope’s objective lens.
• Power and the video signal are transmitted via the integrated USB cable, so no separate power supply is required.
• The S-Viewer software saves images and videos, and measures and marks samples.
