NiSi Square Filter Explorer 150X170mm Reverse GND4 2Stops

These filters are made of special B270 tempered glass, which makes them twice as durable as other typical glass filters. They also have no effect on image colour and feature an IR coating and the same dirt, water and oil-repellent Nano coating as NiSi's standard filters.

The NiSi Explorer Reverse Graduated Filter GND4 (0.6) / 2 Stops is designed to smooth out differences in sky and landscape brightness. Reverse GNDs are similar to normal GNDs, except that the darkest part is located in the centre of the filter. They are specifically designed for shooting scenes where the light is strongest near the horizon and decreases towards the sky.

This is mostly the case for landscapes without elements above the horizon, such as a seascape with an open ocean.

Note: These filters are hardened and tempered, so they are much less prone to damage. However, this does not mean that they are unbreakable. Over time, hardening can also deteriorate.
