Pro Capture

Pro Capture starts shooting as soon as you press the shutter button halfway, and up to 14 frames can be buffered at full resolution. Continuous shooting starts as soon as the button is pressed. You can choose just the right moment to shoot without delay, as you can go back in time by up to 14 frames.

The E-M1 Mark II camera's high-speed autofocus (AF) system is developed to focus on a moving subject with split-second precision. Thanks to its advanced features, you can see your subject clearly at every moment.

121 grid-type points

The more, the merrier. This holds true when it comes to reliable AF points. For this reason, the phase detection autofocus system of the E-M1 Mark II features as many as 121 cross-type points.

20.4M Live MOS sensor and 50M high-resolution mode

This new, high-speed, low-power sensor boosts optical quality at the pixel level, delivering colour-saturated slides and improved image quality even at high sensitivity settings. The sensor also features an AR coating to prevent reflections and ghosting. For even higher resolution, a 50M high-resolution mode is available, which combines eight exposures into a single high-resolution image with a resolution equivalent to 50 megapixels.

TruePic VIII image processor

The E-M1 Mark II is also equipped with a new image processor with two quad-core systems and separate AF processing. Together with the 20M Live MOS sensor, they deliver impressive autofocus speed and image quality.

OM-D 4K video recording

The E-M1 Mark II supports 4K (3840 x 2160) and C4K (4096 x 2160) shooting, making it suitable for authentic movie production. With a choice of 30P or 24P frame rates at up to 237 Mb/s bit rate, you can shoot at 4K resolution in compliance with the Digital Cinema Standard.

5-axis image stabilizer

Specially redeveloped for the new E-M1 Mark II camera model, the image stabilisation mechanism compensates for camera shake by up to 6.5 shutter speed steps*, reliably correcting blur.
