The versatile Panasonic S-series telephoto zoom lens with image stabilisation. This lens has also kept its weight to a minimum thanks to its variable aperture, making it more comfortable to carry for the nature photographer, for example. The lens also has excellent close-up capabilities, with a shortest focusing distance of 0.74m (300m) and a maximum magnification of 0.5x. The lens has 11 rounded dimmer blades for a beautiful bokeh effect. Also ideal for video photography.

Thanks to the O.I.S optical image stabilisation, the lens produces extremely accurate images and, in combination with Panasonic Dual I.S bodies, has a swing-out power of 5.5 apertures. As with the other lenses in the S series, Focus Breathing is minimised, so the focal length doesn't change disturbingly as you zoom in and the focus stays in the right place even if you change the focal length. The zoom lock and focus limiter also make it easier to use.
